About this event
Join us on Friday 10th March for the second Women Entrepreneurs Network event.
Fundraising is a major issue for founders, especially women founders - so let's solve it! Here’s where we come in. Three themes flow through our curated event for women entrepreneurs and founders in the tech space: Inspire. Inform. Act
Part 1: Get inspired by a panel of successful women founders and hear their rollercoaster fundraising journey from Pre-Seed, to Seed, to Series A - speakers lineup coming soon. The BS filter will most definitely be switched off - we’re bringing you the harsh reality of raising.
Part 2: Understand and get informed by those who’ve done it before at our three curated workshops.
- Workshop #1 Basics of Raising: Who and how to contact, finding lists of investors, what to say, understanding equity and words like SAFEs, CLNs, and more.
- Workshop #2 Getting Investor Ready: Delivered by a VC, this session covering investor packs, pitch decks, and how to prepare.
- Workshop #3 Seed/ Series A Corner: A facilitated session for founders who have raised seed/ series A+ funding where they can connect, share what’s worked (and what hasn’t), where to go from here, and celebrate milestones. This workshop will be a closed session for founders at this stage.
How you picture raising versus how it really happens is sometimes miles apart! Now’s the time to learn why.
Part 3: Time to act and put those learnings into practice with our VC mentors. Deep dive into your startup’s journey and your next steps in a 20-minute VC slot. Remember: this is not a pitch. This is a learning experience. This is your way to get connected into the VC space. Quick tip: come with questions prepared to get the most value.
Our goal is for you to leave this event informed and empowered to raise and scale your startup.
