About this event
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023 the Embassy of Netherlands, the Dutch-Irish Business Association and Dogpatch are organizing an exciting event to celebrate successful Dutch & Irish leaders.
2023’s IWD explores the theme of "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality", a theme we’re continually focused on at Dogpatch, as Ireland’s largest tech startup and innovation hub.
We are delighted to announce the following speakers for our IWD event:
- Vera Pauw | Head Coach of the Women’s FAI | Vera has guided the Irish soccer team to their first-ever major tournament, the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Vera has enjoyed a football career that included 14 years on the Dutch National Team, and since then Vera has coached young women all over the world. Vera will be speaking about motivating women and how to lead them to achieve great results.
- Sacha Dekker | VP Global Go-To-Market Enablement at Hubspot | After becoming paralysed on one side, Sacha was told she would never be able to walk, work, or live independently again. Two years after being paralysed, Sacha walked the Great Wall of China. Sacha is an inspirational motivational speaker and she’ll be talking to us about overcoming prejudices in life and in the workplace.
- Catherine Sheridan | Head of Strategy at Green Rebel | Recognised as one of the world’s top women in hydrogen energy, Catherine doesn’t shy away from a challenge. Catherine is a TEDx speaker and has been consulted for her expertise on multiple documentaries. Catherine is passionate about community engagement, climate action, STEM, diversity and inclusion and gender equity. Catherine will speak about how being your authentic self is the best way to contribute to your work, your life and society.
- Yvonne Shields O’Connor | CEO at Irish Lights | As the CEO of The Commissioners of Irish Lights, Yvonne is one of the most senior women globally in the maritime industry. Yvonne has extensive experience in strategy development, change management, operations, corporate governance, and stakeholder management. Yvonne’s talk will draw on her experiences in male-dominated industries and will centre on finding, and building your confidence.
